Energy Demand and Economic Growth 

Energy projects like Cimarron Energy Center have the capacity to deliver substantial economic benefits to the local community and state of Kansas while growing energy independence, improving power reliability and strengthening grid stability.

 These projects create direct, indirect and induced economic benefits during construction and operation.

| The proposed 165.6 megawatt battery energy storage project is located in Cimarron, in Gray County, Kansas.

| If approved, the project is expected to begin construction in early 2027, with approximately 80 workers expected on-site during peak construction.

| The project is expected to be operational by the end of 2027.

 The project will also deliver approximately $28.8 million in tax revenue to the community.

 Once operational, it will provide $1.1 million in new local long-term output and generate over $700,000 in earnings annually for Gray County.
