With an expected lifespan of 30 years, the Dog Valley Energy Center project will provide the county with steady economic growth and long-term community benefits throughout the lifespan of the energy center. Development begins well before the project breaks ground.  

Dog Valley Energy Center serves as a catalyst for local economic growth, creating hundreds of construction jobs, supporting long-term employment opportunities and generating new revenue for the county through landowner payments and tax contributions. 

Beyond job creation, the project boosts local businesses, from hotels and restaurants to caterers and office suppliers, by driving demand and supporting the broader regional economy.
